RCAF officer's blue wool service cap with original leather chin strap and fabric covered side buttons. Heavily padded bullion embroidered officer's insignia. The interior leather and felt sweat band is intact and firmly secured. No maker mark but certainly a quality piece with just the right amount of wear. Although the hat is not named, it was found in Texas by a friend who purchased it from the step-daughter of Flight Lieutenant George Leslie Scott. Basic research gives credibility to this provenance.
