Typical webbing material construction with single flap closure, brass buckles and ammunition pocket. Standard British/Commonwealth use for the SMLE #4 Mk.I Enfield .303 service rifle. Maker marked to M.E. Co. and dated 1942 with a British broad arrow. Later markings have been scrubbed out as shown in the photos.
