A P37 of a slightly different material than the usual webbing constructed case with single flap closure and ammunition pocket but this is more like a heavy canvas construction with leather strap main flap closure and a webbing ammunition pocket closure. Perhaps simply a different maker of the P37. Standard British/Commonwealth use for the SMLE #4 Mk I Enfield .303 service rifle. Maker's mark is not legible but looks to be dated 1944 with a British broad arrow.
