This WWII collar badge to the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) features the regiment’s distinctive Strathcona shield in the centre with a demi-lion, a hammer, and a canoe, surrounded by a wreath of maple leaves. It is surmounted by the King's Crown. The motto "Perserverance" is inscribed on the scroll above the shield. Struck in brass and finished in gilt, this badge is fitted with two lugs on the reverse for attachment to the tunic collar. This pattern was worn by members of the regiment during the Second World War as part of their standard dress insignia.
