This WWI collar badge to the 74th Battalion (Toronto, Ontario) is a die‑struck brass badge featuring a maple leaf, a King’s Crown, a beaver, and the text "74 OVERSEAS CANADA". The badge is pin backed on the reverse for attachment to the tunic collar. The 74th Battalion was raised in the counties of Peel and York, Ontario. Note that the catch on the pin is missing, originally soldered over the maker mark which can be seen to be P.W. Ellis & Co. and 1915 dated
