A first world war cap badge to the Toronto Home Guard in dark bronze finish. The Toronto Home Guard was formed in 1914 from veterans serving in a similar role to the Veterans Guard in WW2, being absorbed into the Depot Battalion in 1917. One original flat lug is in place, the other has been clipped, unfortunately. A difficult to find badge. Maker marked "P.W. Ellis & Co. 1915". In very good condition despite the clipped lug.
