A first world war cap badge in gilt brass finish to the Royal Canadian Dragoons. With a fine gilt finish, it's not difficult to assume this was purchased by an officer. Two original lugs, Roden Bros., Toronto maker marked and dated 1917. Uncommon type in excellent condition.
