Canadian Machine Gun Corps, MGC, officer's private purchase service dress cap. Although it is in extremely distressed condition with severe mothing, the Type B machine gun corps tarnished brass cap badge has been on this cap forever. It's a cast example but I'm not able to see a maker's mark as the blade or tang fasteners are firmly folded into place. The leather sweatband remains but is partially (perhaps 25%) detached. Maker marked Robinson & Cleaver Hatters, Regent St. London W. I love this beat up hat because it has clearly never been messed about.
