A first world war cap badge in blackened white metal finish to the 12th Battalion. The battalion was authorized on 10 August 1914 and subsequently redesignated the 12th Reserve Infantry Battalionin April of 1915 to provide reinforcements for the Canadian Corps. Two original lugs, "W. J. Dingley, B'ham" maker marked. In excellent condition.
