Scarce 1916 dated and C broad arrowed khaki glengarry as issued in 1916 to all highland battalions. These were not popular and regiments often refused to wear them. Wool construction with leather sweatband and silk tails. This excellent example has the shadow of a once installed Black Watch type of cap badge, which would be appropriate. Maker marked "Ainsley Dineen Hat & Fur Co. Ltd. Toronto" and in a hard to find larger size of 7 1/8.
