In spectacular condition and probably never issued, we believe this plume is for a British or Canadian rifle regiment busby. Made of red dyed horse hair and black feathers mounted to a flat brass bar. Overall length is 280mm with 210mm being the plume itself. Also included is its 33mm x 360mm painted tin storage tube that has hinged openings at both ends so that the plume is never inserted or drawn against the direction of the plume. A nice piece that is often missing or damaged.
