Officer's quality winter weight wool service dress tunic to the 1st Canadian Army, RCA. Named to G.W. Johnston, and dated July, 1941. Embroidered AGRA titles to both upper sleeves along with six years service chevrons. Officer's bronze RCA collars, captain's stars/pips and brass RCA shoulder titles and buttons. There is some moth damage to the bottom of the bellows pockets and a nip to one of the breast pockets. The included Sam Browne belt is not marked and does not have a shoulder strap, which is not unusual.
Light research suggests the this could be related to a Captain of the 13th Field Battery (Winnipeg), 6th Field Regiment that landed in Normandy in July of 1944 but further research would be necessary to confirm this.
