MK.1 Ross Bayonet issued to the 42nd Highlander Battalion. Impressed 42B over C4F over 799. Dated September 1910 with the factory blunt nose and the blade although discoloured remains unsharpened. Wooden grips are oil soaked with a faint stamping of W8 106. Top of pommel has 80 over 213 struck through.
Scabbard is a MK.2 dated 1916 and is nice overall with a number 10 stamped into the leather.
