These figures are reportedly from a patriotic display from the windows of the Toronto Eaton's store during the first world war. This figure is of an unknown British naval officer but his face is oddly familiar. It is made of heavy wire, papier-mâché, and stuffed cloth. The condition is poor with substantial moth damage to the cloth, especially the back of the jacket and the right arm. The papier-mâché is fragile and there is some loss on both legs with complete loss of one foot. Unsure of the composition of the head but it seems bisque like and is in very good condition. These things are quite tall with legs that have an exaggerated length. Total length of 81cm.
